Convenience with Care

Recognizing that modern urbanites are becoming increasingly busy while also increasingly aware, Coop - Denmark’s largest supermarket retailer, decided to launch a new concept store - dubbed “C” - designed to meet the ever-increasing demands to ethics, price, convenience, and lifestyle.
e-Types helped define the concept and created the visual identity for Denmark’s new cool convenience concept - from brand values to communication guidelines over identity, packaging and even interior design.

Building on Coop’s heritage, e-Types helped define a concept that modernized the ideals inherent in Coop’s co-op tradition - a tradition that hails back to 1886 when Pastor H.C Sonne launched Denmark’s first consumer cooperative. Today C offers expanded opening hours to suit the busy work life of modern families, ethically sourced goods, and lifestyle products as well as healthy take away - alongside cheap day-to-day items recognizing that while we will gladly pay a premium for that bio-dynamic Barolo, we feel slightly more ambiguous when it comes to toilet paper and tooth brushes.

e-Types developed the name, logo, and identity for C - reinterpreting Coop´s original values into a heart. The logo signals the care for people’s health and economy as well as the concern for the world around us that lie at the very core of Coop. Values that we believe will never go out of style.
